What's new in MetaTrader 5

The year of 2014 has been extremely fruitful for MetaQuotes Software. We have managed to reach the new technological frontiers and implement our plans. One of the main events of the year is the launch of MetaTrader 5 platform on FX Market part of Moscow Exchange (MOEX). Now, traders from Russia are able to trade the ruble pairs using the most powerful platform with loads of built-in services.

The mobile versions of the trading platforms have also been considerably improved. The completely new restyled version of MetaTrader 5 for Android with the depth of market, tick chart and news appeared in Google Play one month ago. MetaTrader 4 Android is to be enhanced soon. Development of the iOS versions is also underway.

This year, we have also launched the virtual hosting service allowing traders to rent a virtual server directly in MetaTrader. This is the most efficient solution for arranging uninterrupted work of trading robots and Signal subscriptions.

Following MetaTrader 5 platform, MetaTrader 4 now features the app store of its own, which has already become the main resource for buying trading robots on the Internet. Apart from Expert Advisors and indicators, the Market now contains financial journals and books as well. 

Trading signals have been thoroughly revised as well. We have improved their look in the platforms, optimized and enhanced their description, expanded trading statistics and eased the rules by allowing partial copying and manual trading. This has led to even greater demand for copy trading built right into the platform.

More and more traders discover the benefits of Jobs service for MetaTrader 4/5. This summer, we published the interesting infographics revealing that more than 10 000 orders worth about $600,000 in total had been executed, while 3 000 customers and 300 developers had already used the service by that time!

Six months ago, we also launched the service of financial blogs - a convenient place for exchanging views, fresh information and new ideas on trading. Now, the most important financial news selected by the moderators from the multiple blog entries are sent directly to the platforms and viewed by millions of MetaTrader users.

Thus, it is not surprising that the number of registered MQL5.community members has tripled over the year. In the beginning of January, we had 150 000 users. Now, their number exceeds 440 000!

New representative offices have been opened in the United Arab Emirates and Republic of South Africa. MetaQuotes Software is growing and reinforcing its presence on the world map.

We become closer to our customers, no matter where they are. The amount of our products and services is rising, and their usability is constantly improving.

Implementation of functions for trading options is currently underway. The Option Strategy Builder has been added.

Trading in MetaTrader 5 from your Android powered device is now even more convenient and easy. The new build of the application features a new design which is entirely consistent with the Google Style Guide - our specialists have significantly updated the software interface.

Update for Android 4.0 and later. Support for the older Android versions application is terminated, but it is still available for download.

Have you already noticed the icon with a lock in front of MQL5.com in the browser address bar? It means that the website is now operating via HTTPS protocol with support for encryption. Previously, this protocol was enabled only for the private area - user profiles. Now, the entire website has completely switched to HTTPS.

Added iOS 8 compatibility.

Renting a virtual server right from the MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 terminals is the optimal way to ensure uninterrupted work of your trading robots and Signal subscriptions. Essentially, it is an analogue of a VPS though it is better and more suitable for addressing needs and challenges that a trader comes across. The server can be rented straight from your MetaTrader. It takes only a couple mouse clicks for Experts Advisors, indicators, scripts together with Signal subscriptions and settings to be transferred to the virtual server. The Virtual Hosting Cloud network was developed specially for MetaTrader and has all the advantages of a native solution.

A new milestone has been reached in developing services for the MetaTrader platforms when the total of officially registered sellers hit the mark of 10 000. It is the number of users authorized to sell their programs and signal subscriptions. This figure could be a population of an average town, a town where all citizens reap the harvest of their labor.

The MetaTrader 5 trading platform continues its expansion in the fast growing markets. In mid-October, one of the Thailand brokers Apple Wealth officially launched the terminal in demo mode on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET). By December 2014, Thai traders using MetaTrader 5 will have a real opportunity to trade stocks and futures on the Stock Exchange of Thailand and the Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX).   

Recently MetaQuotes Software introduced MetaFintech as its new representative office in the UAE. The company now announces its further expansion: Derivative System Technologies will act as its agent in South Africa.

We are pleased to announce about the geographic expansion of the company by the establishing of a new representative office. MetaFintech LLC has become the company's official agent in the largest international business center of the Middle East - Dubai,  United Arab Emirates.

British Forex Trader Magazine has appeared today in MetaTrader Market. Thus, any MetaTrader platform user can now download up to eight different financial publications from the Market.

We are pleased to announce the integration of MetaTrader 5 trading platform with Borsa Istanbul. With the release of the updated MetaTrader 5 Gateway to Borsa Istanbul, brokers and traders receive the complete functionality for performing trading operations in VIOP section (futures and options) directly in the MetaTrader 5 terminal.

The largest Brazilian broker XP Investimentos is holding its first trading championship - Campeonato de Traders 1ª Edição. The event is arranged with the help of MetaQuotes Software Corp. XP Investimentos has recently started offering MetaTrader 5 trading platform to 80 000 of their clients. 

Four years have passed since the launch of the MQL5 Freelance service. In June 2010, it was launched together with the Payments service allowing users to order and pay for the development of MQL applications without leaving the MQL5.com website. The service was then called Jobs, and nobody could imagine what the future had in store for it.
