We spoke with Raphael Benjamin Ghrenassia, the General Manager of TrioMarkets' Cyprus operations and one of the company's owners, about the evolution of the brokerage business, the transition to MetaTrader 5, the growing popularity of algorithmic trading, and the latest technologies from MetaQuotes.

TrioMarkets has been operating in the market for more than a decade and has expanded its business across several regions. According to Raphael, the transition from MetaTrader 4 to MetaTrader 5 was an important move for the company. The new platform has provided the team with more tools, made trading more convenient for clients, and — particularly important for a growing broker — significantly expanded its ability to scale its infrastructure.

With MetaTrader 5, a broker can scale its infrastructure as the business grows by adding trading servers and access points. This approach makes it possible to expand an existing cluster without having to migrate to a different technology platform. Raphael also highlights the continued development of MetaTrader 5 and the introduction of new capabilities for both brokers and their clients.

Another key topic of our conversation was the changing demands of today's traders. TrioMarkets is seeing a growing number of clients using advanced trading robots. For algorithmic trading, fast execution, low latency, and competitive spreads are particularly important. Brokers therefore need to continuously improve both their technology infrastructure and execution conditions. Against this backdrop, the company plans to take a closer look at Ultency and explore the possibility of integrating it into its operations.

Raphael also spoke positively about the new AI capabilities introduced in MetaTrader 5. The built-in AI Assistant enables users to work with the platform and create trading applications even without extensive knowledge of MQL5 or other programming languages. In Raphael's view, integrating these tools directly into MetaTrader 5 opens up new opportunities for the development of algorithmic trading.

Watch the full interview to learn how MetaTrader 5 is helping TrioMarkets scale its infrastructure, what modern algorithmic traders expect from their brokers, and why the company is exploring the latest AI capabilities and Ultency.
