It measures [sales of previously owned homes](https://www.mql5.com/en/economic-calendar/united-states/existing-home-sales). May give an idea about the optimism of consumers (consumer confidence) and their ability to buy expensive things. These data are subject to seasonal fluctuations due to the character of the real estate market. Building is directly connected with the income of the population.
