# Consumer Price Index (CPI)

[Consumer Price Index](https://www.mql5.com/en/economic-calendar/switzerland/cpi-mm) measures changes in retail prices of goods and services purchased by households. The Index includes the price level of food, clothing, education expenses, health, transportation, utilities and leisure. The indicator is calculated monthly and is the main indicator of inflation in a country, including in Switzerland.
