# Producer Price Index (PPI)

The indicator measures the average change in prices for raw materials and goods of intermediate consumption relative to the basis period. The indicator is used for calculating the detailed components of the gross national product into the comparable prices. It is the key indicator of inflationary pressures. The indicator is taken into account by the market.
