# Enabling MQL5 Algo Forge

To start working with MQL5 Algo Forge in MetaEditor, ensure that you are logged into the app with your [MQL5.community](https://www.mql5.com/) account. In the top menu, click "Tools" and select "Options". Navigate to the "Community" tab. Enter your credentials and click "OK".

Then right click on any folder in the Navigator and click "Activate MQL5 Algo Forge from the menu.

Once you activate MQL5 Algo Forge, you can start working with [projects](https://www.metatrader5.com/en/metaeditor/help/mql5storage/projects), run [Git commands](https://www.metatrader5.com/en/metaeditor/help/mql5storage/mql5storage_working#start) for repositories, review the [history of projects](https://www.metatrader5.com/en/metaeditor/help/mql5storage/mql5storage_diff), and even use [external Git clients](https://www.metatrader5.com/en/metaeditor/help/mql5storage/mql5storage_external_client).

If you have already worked with MQL5 Algo Forge, you can [clone](https://www.metatrader5.com/en/metaeditor/help/mql5storage/mql5storage_merging#cloning_projects) the necessary repositories or [pull changes](https://www.metatrader5.com/en/metaeditor/help/mql5storage/mql5storage_working#update) from remote where applicable.
