# ISM Index

[ISM Index](https://www.mql5.com/de/economic-calendar/united-states/industrial-production-mm) (Institute of Supply Management's index, former NAPM — National Association of Purchasing Managers) ist ein Index für die Wirtschaftsaktivität.

Ein Wert über 50 steht für Wirtschaftswachstum, darunter eine Verschlechterung der wirtschaftlichen Situation. Wenn der ISM sich an die 60 annähert beginnen Investoren über ein mögliches Überhitzen des Marktes nachzudenken, da die Inflation steig und es mögliche Gegenmaßnahmen der Federal Reserve Bank geben kann. Zahlen unter 40 zeigen eine Rezession.

Der ISM wird kurz vor den Arbeitslosendaten veröffentlicht und wird genutzt um die Daten des Bureau of Labor Statistics zu verfeinern.
