# Purchasing Managers Index (PMI)

Der Indikator zaigt das Level der Business Aktivität des Industriesektors an. Der PMI wird berechnet auf Basis der Daten einer monatlichen Umfrage im Produktionssektor und wird geteilt in fünf sub-Indizes: Produktion, Beschäftigung, Neue Aufträge, Bestände und Auslieferung. Der Basiswert beträgt 50. Zahlen über diesem Wert indizieren eine wirtschaftliche Expansion. Erhöhte Aktivität im Produktionssektor ist in der Regel ein Vorläufer für wirtschaftliche Expansion und inflationären Druck.
